President

Being elected President of the UNCC Communication Studies Graduate Student Association has been one of the most self-affirming moments of my professional career.  In 2012, I ran for and won the position of Vice President of my Residence Hall (Brumby).  Although I loved my position, there was no doubt in my mind that I could be an effective, personable President. So, when the opportunity came along, I jumped on it!  As President, I have implemented a successful mentorship program, planned events to further our department's scholarly and professional development, and served as a voice for the students to our graduate faculty.  I have truly enjoyed this experience and am so happy I made the leap!
